Lar Gand's son, Mon-El, was a prince of Daxam—a sister world of Krypton. When Daxam was decimated by the destruction of Krypton, Mon-El escaped. His ship crash-landed on Earth and he had a fling with Supergirl. When Earth became uninhabitable for Daxamites, Mon-El fled into space. He fell through a time warp into the 31st century, where he became a founding member of the Legion and married Imra Ardeen (Saturn Girl).
