Marsboy

Marsboy first appeared in Superboy #14 (1951/May) and again in Superboy #16 (1951/Sep). His third appearance was in a story titled "Lana Lang's Romance on Mars" in Adventure #195 (1953/Mar). That story was later reworked as "Lana Lang and the Legion of Super-Heroes" in Adventure #282 (1961/Feb), with Star Boy in place of Marsboy. Thus, Marsboy can be regarded as an alternate verision of Star Boy.

Queering the Legion

Marsboy was perhaps the first in a long series of cute super-powererd boy-toys that Superboy encountered (and, presumably, had hot super-powered sex with) in adolescence.
