From Who's Who in the Legion of Super-Heroes 1: Absorbancy Boy has the power to absorb any residual energy left behind by a super-powered being. After being rejected for Legion membership because his power depends on the presence of other super-powered beings, Absorbancy Boy decided to get revenge on the Legion for overlooking him in favor of Tyroc. He joined a training exercise meant to test Tyroc's abilities by taking over a camouflage suit worn by Superboy and Sun Boy, thus gaining both their powers. He was defeated by Tyroc's deafening yell, which he heard full-blast with his borrowed super-hearing.
