Red kryptonite

A radioactive remnant of the planet Krypton, red kryptonite causes Kryptonians to undergo bizarre physical and/or psychological transformations. These transformations generally last about 24 hours. A particular piece of red kryptonite affects all Kryptonians the same way, but can never affect the same Kryptonian more than once.
