Green Lantern rings recognize the Emerald Eye as "unknown Lantern technology." The Eye refuses to act against one of the Green Lanterns; the ring reports temporal energy. Then, when another Lantern cracks the Eye, the Empress fades away with it, saying "If the Eye breaksI'll be trapped here -- but I have to find her. I have to find Saturn Girllll..."

So, yeah, that happened.
