Five major states sprang up or entered expansionary phases between 5700 and 6000 CE; only one (the Sardinian League) survived the millennium. This period, accordingly, is sometimes referred to as "the False Quickening."

In the long economic depression that followed the Geled-Natal War (5408 - 5460 CE), Cisnatal slowly dissolved. By 5440 there was little left of the Free Territory.

By 5350 CE, the expanding Natalese Confederation had encountered the Duchy of Geled.

In 5372, war broke out between the two, a war which continued until 5408 CE.

War between the Duchy of Geled and the Natalese Confederation was inevitable; tension had been building for sixty years. The war finally erupted when Natal launched an attack on Thunda Pol in 5372. Geled responded with full force, and the war was on.

Expands rapidly and violently.

Sedante, along with a few associated worlds, dropped out of the Domain of Terexta in 4968 CE under the Lidov dynasty. The newly-independent polity was named the Sedanten League.
