Novy Mir Station

One of seven major Stations in low orbit around Terra. These Stations declined in utility and population after fusion drive propulsion became commonplace in the 2050s CE, and were dealt a death blow by antigrav propulsion in the 2080s CE.

Novy Mir has the perpetually-unfinished, girders-and-solar-panels look of the late 20th century, fuel tanks and spinnign habitat modules sticking out in every direction, plainly of a piece with Soyuz and the Apollo lander.
