Vragnic
Mutated version of the Daamin created by the Core to test Humans
The Vragnic strongly resemble the Daamin; physically, they look like meter-high anthropomorhpic rabbits. Vragnic fur tends to be irridescent, and they completely lack Daamin sensitivity to the Forever Dreams
Vragnic culture is a Potemkin village, an illusion deliberately constructed to persuade Humans that they are an independent race. There is serious argument regarding whether the Vragnic possess individuality and personality at all, or are simply telepathically-programmed automatons. They present the facade of being a powerful, aggressive race of conquerors with a long history of warfare, but in reality they serve two purposes:
- To study Human psychology, sociology, and technology as agents of the Core;
- To create a bad impression on Humans in order to prejudice Humans against the Daamin when the two races finally came into contact.
The Vragnic are a gengineered race, artificially designed and grown for special purposes.
Individual Vrag are grown in vitro and emerge as adults. They live for 40-50 years and then die quickly and painlessly.
Vragnic reproduction is done entirely in vitro.
