Assembly of Humanity

Following the violent dissolution of the Second Terran Empire (20,356 - c. 20,500 HE), the Assembly of Humanity became the governming body of the Human race. As Humanity continued to move toward racial maturity, most planets and settlements managed themselves, and the Assembly was little more than an advisory body.

The Assembly consisted of about a thousand delgates chosen by election. It traditionally met on New Sardinia. Assemblymen served terms of ten years.
